Now, Betty channels her experience into guiding single women in transition—particularly those facing life changes like divorce or widowhood—toward financial security. Her passion was strengthened while working with a close friend during her divorce, witnessing firsthand how her attorney struggled to fully understand certain financial holdings. As her friend emotionally shut down, Betty stepped in as an advocate, assisting the attorney in structuring tools to ensure continued child support for her friend’s minor children, even if her ex-husband became ill or injured. This, combined with navigating her own family’s financial crisis caused by an unforeseen medical event, deepened Betty’s commitment to creating resilient income strategies and asset protection for her clients.
Committed to her community, Betty serves on two non-profit boards, advocating for quality-of-life services. She treasures time with her husband of 36 years, their two daughters, and twin grandsons, often relaxing with a good book and a cup of coffee or glass of wine.

A&M Futures allows Mikaela to further develop and grow her passion of helping families and small businesses achieve their goals. Most people believe they can only reach financial success and goals by being a part of a big corporation or business. Mikaela loves sharing with individuals and small businesses how their “big” goals can be accomplished. Helping families is where her passion lies, as she is a single mother of twin boys she personally knows the ups and downs. Mikaela wants to make sure families are ready for life’s what-ifs and major milestones – buying a car or home, starting a family, going to college and retirement.
When Mikaela has free time, she enjoys hanging out with her twins and her two dogs. Mikaela and her family enjoy spending time outdoors – going to the park or zoo, hunting, fishing or just taking a new back road to find out where it goes.
